Our beloved Prophet Muhammed (S.A.W.S.) said, "Every child is born with a natural disposition (kullu mawludin yuladu `ala al-fitra); then his parents convert him to Judaism, or Christianity, or Zoroastrianism. It is the same with the animal which delivers a perfect baby animal. Do you find it missing anything?" Bukhari narrates it. Muslim omits the mention of the animal. Tirmidhi’s narration (hasan sahih) also omits it, but adds: "O Messenger of Allah, what if the child dies before that?" He replied: "Allah knows best what they would have done." Likewise, it can be said for a Muslim that his parents makes him a Shia, Sunni or various sects that we are aware of. But hardly does anybody makes an effort, so that he remains a Muslim. Ask a Muslim or a Hindu or a Christian or a follower of any faith why he is Muslim or a Hindu or a Christian or a follower of his faith? And the answer will be "because I was born in that family". And surprisingly it will be the same by a Muslim!! So the challenge for us, as per Hadith of Prophet(S.A.W.S.), is to go back to our Fitrah (Purity) from the pollution that has encircled us and also entered our inner selves. It is an experienced fact that every body likes to be in a state of Fitrah. But the BIG QUESTION is "How?" But, what is Fitrah - Islam. So what is Islam – Submission and Surrender to Almighty Allah And then who is a Muslim – One who Submits willfully to Almighty Allah. Returning to Islam is coming back to Fitrah. The simple way to return is to read Quran with understanding and Hadith and Life of Prophet Mohammed (S.A.W.S.) and follow it up with Actions accordingly. As he (S.A.W.S.) said in his Last Sermon "I leave behind me two things, the Qur'an and my example, the Sunnah and if you follow these you will never go astray." And by doing so you will become a Muslim by Choice and not Muslim by Birth. Hence the name Islam by Choice. Our purpose is to connect Muslims to Quran and Sunnah and spread the message of Islam to the Non Muslims so that there will be peace on this earth, Insha Allah and we can hope for a better Aakhiraah. "Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanatan wa fil 'akhirati hasanatan waqina 'adhaban-nar." |
